Kalpetta Municipality

Kalpetta Municipality is a Grade-2 urban local body and serves as the administrative headquarters of Wayanad District as well as Vythiri Taluk in Kerala. Nestled at an elevation of approximately 780 meters above sea level in the Western Ghats along NH 766 (Kozhikode–Mysuru highway), it forms the political, commercial, and tourism hub of the district.
